51. Flip the scripts you've been handed down around food, weight and your body and create new scripts that will work best for YOU

In this episode, I'm talking about your food scripts. Food scripts are the words and conditioning that we heard growing up around food, but often play out into adulthood. Each one of us was born into our unique families where we learned about food. We learned whether or not it was okay to eat out, we learned if we had to clean our plates, or how often we were allowed to eat dessert. Scripts are typically handed down from one generation to another UNLESS you choose to change them! When reflecting on your food scripts, here are five questions to ask yourself the following- 1. What scripts did you hear growing up about food? 2. How are your scripts similar or different? 3. What scripts would you like to adjust and recreate so that you are living in a new reality with food? 4. What family scripts should you just put to bed and not allow to play out anymore? 5. What new scripts will create a difference for your weight NOW that you can put into place?
